Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TXC Auto ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit txcautoagency.com or interact with our services. We've written this in plain English because we'd rather you actually understand it than skim past a wall of legalese.

The short version: We collect the information you voluntarily give us through our contact form, and we use Google Analytics (with IP anonymization) to understand site usage. We use this data to respond to your inquiry, improve our services, and follow up about working together. We don't sell your data, we don't use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we don't track you across the web.

Who we are

TXC Auto is a US-based B2B service business helping automotive dealerships with BDC operations, training, SEO, email marketing, and graphic design. We are reachable at nick@txcautoagency.com or by phone at (908) 552-5046.

What information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your dealership or business name
  • Your business location (city, state)
  • Your business email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Information about your dealership's inventory size and monthly lead volume
  • The services you're interested in
  • Any additional message or context you choose to share

You provide this information voluntarily. We do not require any information beyond what's needed to respond meaningfully to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website on the internet, our hosting provider (Netlify) maintains standard server logs that include visitor IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is technical infrastructure data used to deliver the site and prevent abuse, not marketing tracking.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. GA4 collects information such as:

  • Pages you visit and time spent on each
  • Approximate location (country/region, not exact address)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • How you arrived at our site (e.g., from Google search, direct, referral)
  • Interactions like form submissions, button clicks, and scrolls

We have IP anonymization enabled, which means Google truncates IP addresses before storing them. We use this data in aggregate to improve our website. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing.

If you'd prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Browser storage

We use your browser's localStorage for one specific function: remembering that you've already seen our intent survey popup so we don't keep showing it to you. This data stays in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it anytime through your browser's settings.

What we do not collect

  • We do not use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other social-media tracking tools
  • We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels
  • We do not collect payment information on this site
  • We do not track you across other websites
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information

How we use your information

We use the information you provide for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your inquiry. We use your contact details to reply with information about our services, schedule calls, and answer questions.
  • Tailoring proposals. If you ask for a proposal, we use the details you shared (inventory size, lead volume, services of interest) to scope work appropriately.
  • Business follow-up. If our initial conversation doesn't immediately lead to a project, we may follow up periodically with relevant information. You can opt out at any time.
  • Legal compliance. We may retain information as needed to comply with tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.

Who we share information with

We use the following service providers to operate our business. These providers receive information only as necessary to perform their services, and they are contractually required to protect it.

  • Netlify hosts our website and delivers form submissions to us
  • Google (Google Analytics) processes anonymized usage data so we can understand site performance
  • Microsoft 365 / Proofpoint Essentials handles our business email infrastructure
  • GoDaddy manages our domain registration
  • Mailchimp is authenticated to send email from our domain (used for outbound business communications when applicable)

We may also disclose information when legally required (e.g., in response to a valid subpoena or court order) or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

How we protect your information

Our website is served over HTTPS (encrypted). Form submissions are transmitted securely to Netlify and routed to our business email. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect.

That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.

How long we keep your information

We retain contact form submissions for as long as needed to maintain our business relationship with you, plus a reasonable archival period afterward for record-keeping and potential follow-up. If you'd like us to delete your information from our records, contact us at nick@txcautoagency.com and we'll do so within 30 days unless we're legally required to retain it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These can include:

  • Access: Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your information
  • Opt-out: Tell us to stop contacting you for marketing or follow-up purposes

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any future sale or sharing.

Children's privacy

Our services are for businesses (specifically automotive dealerships). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our business or applicable law changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you (typically by updating this page and, if you've contacted us, possibly by email).
